It's a rubbish, rather unrealistic, but strangely fascinating and addictive, airline-management sim. Historical planes when the game-worlds are in the appropriate era, which is fun.

Yup. One of the more amusing quirks of the game is that maintenance costs don't rise as fast as they should for really old planes, so you can keep them flying til they're well over 30 years old.
Safety factors aside, in real life I'd love to have the option to fly London to NY on a big old slow plane in comfort, instead of being crammed in for a few hours less on a modern plane.

Growing up in Trenton Ontario in the 60's and 70's I saw them everyday flying in and out...until they where replaced by.....707's. A friend's of my Dad's flew them to Cypress every week for UN support.

Oh, cool. I was going to say that the chances of me ever seeing one flying must be zero, but then I looked at Wikipedia and there's a survivor being restored not too far from me, in Bournemouth.

There's something really cool about those sixties turboprop long-range airliners.
